The E-Lub Tester determines the ohmic resistance and capacitance of your rolling bearing, thus of the lubricant used therein, under real operating conditions applied by the FBT four-ball tester.

For this, a high-precision impedance measurement is used, which was developed based on flucon’s EPSILON+ laboratory instrument.

In addition, the E-Lub Tester enables EDM breakdown currents to be analyzed under a defined electrical load on the bearing so that the performance of greases and oils in rolling bearings can be specifically investigated under variable operating conditions (lubricant temperature, speed, load).

EPSILON+ is a compact laboratory measuring device that is used for the precise measurement of the complex fluid impedance, based on DIN IEC 60247 (own DIN test standard coming soon). This reliable system determines the following parameters:

EPSILON+  //  Measurement

EPSILON+ is characterized by its operator convenience. Less than 10 ml fluid quantity are sufficient for the measurement set-up of the screw-in sensor. The sample is filled into the supplied stainless steel container and heated up to the desired test temperature by means of a thermostat (optionally available). Automatic measurement can be conducted as well within a desired temperature range, with increments of your choice.

Our FOAM (Flucon Oil Aeration Machine) is a compact aggregat which contains a 40 Liter tank (type FOAM S), that can be easily integrated into your fluid circuit as a reservoir, where it then produces consistent air-in-oil dispersions.

If you favor an external installation, with an aeration unit added to your pre-existing open reservoir, you may prefer our FOAM XL-x, which we also recommend if higher flow rates of up to 60 l/min (15 gpm) of aerated oil are required. If you need even more than that, we also offer extra-large custom FOAM units.

No matter what type of FOAM you prefer: Aeration testing is very easy with this plug-and-play unit. Simply set up a gas concentration (CG set = 0.50 – 25.00 vol.-%*) for your specific oil. The FOAM will immediately add the desired amount of dispersed gas to your fluid. This procedure will be carried out fully-automatically, with no compressed air supply required. When the gas concentration reaches the required level the “FOAM ready” lamp lights up and you can go ahead and pump the aerated oil through your circuit.

The CGS (Concentration Gas System) is an inline measuring system for the continuous determination of the gas content in fluids. The system works regardless of the size and shape of the entrained gas portions in the
fluid. Therefore both finely dispersed microbubbles as well as large air pockets can be detected correctly in the passing medium, with their percentage by volume displayed in real time.

The following parameters are determined by the CGS:
• temperature (−30 °C to 150 °C)
• pressure (max. 10 bar)
• gas content CGp at measured pressure
• gas content CG0 at atmospheric pressure (recalculation according to the ideal gas law)
